New look…

As you may have noticed, the frontpage has changed considerably in the last 24 hours.

I used to use this blog as a quasi-portal, making use of the “page” feature of wordpress to create little subsites on the topic of my projects, EYNTO, the piracy movie, etc. It got the point accross, but it never looked all that classy.

So today, I went ahead and installed Mambo, a Content Management System. It’s used by sleuths of companies out there to create easy to manage dynamic websites. The front of the site looks a fair bit improved now methinks, and soon I’ll add more stuff to it to improve its functionality.

    I’ve seen Mambo in action before but never considered installing it myself…I just might do this thanks to you. It really does look great.

    I used the default theme “Solar Flare 2” of Mambo for the site; and edited the main header picture to be my own. The trickiest thing is getting RSS feeds on the frontpage, and I can help you with that should the need arise 😀

    It’s really decent software; but is it ever confusing at first o_O

    The need is there, I just wish I had the time to mess with something like that. I obviously have *some* time otherwise I wouldn’t have even noticed the entry 😉

    I just might ask for you assistance as far as Mambo/RSS…one day.
