The last year has been eventful:
- I moved to the middle of Centretown.
- I had bottom surgery.
- I had laser eye surgery.
- I bought my first car.
- I changed jobs.
- One intimate relationship ended. Another started.
- I went sailing for the first time.
- I went to Halifax for the first time.
- I went to Albany, NY for the first time.
- I went canoe camping for the first time.
- I became vegetarian at home.
- I started with a new therapist.
- I gave a workshop at Project Acorn and ran an intro to coding workshop series at Algonquin College.
- I opened up publicly about how my trauma affected me and my mental health.
I also leaned into my minimalism further. I more or less completed constructing my “before New Zealand” dream life in Ottawa.
My life plans right now are to walk the Camino de Santiago in May 2020, to move to New Zealand in 2020/2021, and to then come back to Canada two years later to rejoin my chosen family and become a parent. Until then I want to save money, go camping a bunch, work on my mental health, and spend time with my besties.
